BDS actions in July 2026
9 July: Two French authors canceled their event at the Bozar in Brussels because the former conductor of the Israeli orchestra Lahav Shani has a planned concert at the Bozar later this year. The director of the Bozar says that the discussion on the boycott of Lahav Shani is legitimate. Also a Belgian politician blamed the fact that Shani is having an event at the Bozar.
10 July: The president of PEN America Dinaw Mengestu resigned over its opposition to the BDS and the publication of an article about Israel in which it was made clear to him that PEN America is willing to defend some rights but others not.
10 July: Qatar, a major shareholder of VW seemingly blocked an agreement between VW and Rafael to produce Iron dome missiles in Germany in a factory formerly being used by VW.
11 July: US representative Ro Khanna condemned the fact that he was detained by Israeli settlers in Palestine. He said they were armed with US weapons payed for by US tax payers money.
13 July: The EU failed (once again) to enact any sorts of sanctions on Israel for its expansion of the Israeli occupation of Palestine. The main obstacle of the sanctions is Germany.
13 July: The student association of the German Humboldt University voted to adhere to the BDS / PACBI guidelines and end collaborations with Israeli institutions.
14 July: Democratic US minority leader Hakeem Jeffries demanded an end of direct military aid towards Israel. He argued that Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu demanded the same earlier this year.
21 July: The Netherlands banned the trade with goods from the Israeli settlements in Palestine.
