In mid-August 2025 over 400 Canadian athletes demanded for Israel to excluded from the Davis Cup or that Canada does not play against Israel in September. The International Tennis Federation and the Davis Cup, refused to exclude Israel though.
In August it was announced that Miss Palestine will compete at the Miss Universe pageantry for the first time.

26th August: The Belgian foreign minister Maxime Prevot pressures for a tougher stance against Israel in view of the destruction of Gaza and demands a recognition of Palestine.
27th August: The Voice of Hind Rajab has its premiere at the Venice Film Festival. Its executive producers are Brad Pitt, Joaquin Phoenix, Rafael Cuaron and Jonathan Glazer.
27th August: At the Vuelta de Espana the Israel Tech Cycling team was forced to drive around a poster that demanded a bycott of Israel. The owner of the Israeli cycling team condemned the peace demonstration and called it terror.
28th August: The Anti Gathering was cancelled in Portugal due to a BDS campaign against the Israeli soldier Shahar Bickel (also active in Gaza since October 2023), one of the organizers of the festival
28th August: No Israeli Government official is permitted to take part at the DSEI, a weapons fair in London. Israeli companies are still permitted to take part, but no one from the Israeli Government.
29th August: Turkey closes its airspace to and ends trade with Israel. Even though that is good news, it’s hard to believe as Turkey facilitates Azerbaijani gas exports to Israel over the Baku-Ceyhan pipeline and imprisoned pro-Palestine protesters in the past.
29th August: Australian Byron Shire Council announced a BDS approach toward Israel.
30 August: A pro-Palestinian protest against the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra interrupted a BBC broadcast.
30 August: A huge march for Gaza to which many actors attended happened at the Venice Film Festival. Hundreds of members of the film industry signed a letter demanding that the Israeli actor Gal Gadot and Michael Butler were disinvited by the Festival, which refused to do so, but Gadot eventually did not come.
31st August: The head of the World Jewish Agency, a former commander of the Southern Command cancelled his trip to South Africa fearing arrest.
