April is the second month Israel and the USA wage an unprovoked war against Iran. Iran seemed to have no chance, but apparently they have more leverage than assumed, striking Israel almost everyday since the war began and even shooting down 2 military jets of the USA in April. The USA is likely becoming desperate and targeting civilian infrastructure like pharmaceutical facilities, bridges and even universities and schools. One of the most deadly strikes was one on a girl’s school in Minab<\/a> with about 100 dead students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 April: The Astor Lounge Cinema in Frankfurt cancelled its collaboration with the Jewish Film Festival <\/a>over the presence of police officers in the last edition of the film festival. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 April: The Democratic Party of the USA has planned to vote on three resolutions related to Israel and AIPAC. <\/a>One condemning AIPAC for its meddling in Democratic primaries and elections in general. Second condemning the war against Israel, and third conditioning the military support of Israel by the USA, like that Israel must adhere to international law etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 April: Footballclub Mainz 05 lost in trial against a Palestinian football player who it dismissed following pro Palestine social media posts<\/a>. One post said From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free. The other one was absolutely legal even for German judges. Now Mainz 05 has to pay 1.5 Mil. Euros in lost salaries and can even be charged for more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

11 April: Aaron Baker, Charles Gambaro and Dan Bilzerman are challenging the AIPAC funded pro Israeli politician Randy Fine in the GOP primaries in Florida<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

13 April: The South Korean president demands an investigation into a video in which Israel soldiers are shown to throw down Palestinians from a building<\/a> in the West Bank. The Israeli side of course justifies such acts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

13 April: The Italian foreign minister Tajani condemned the Israeli attacks on civilians <\/a> in Beirut, Lebanon which of course is defended by the Israeli. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

13 April: The student parliament of D\u00fcsseldorf, Germany voted to boycott Israel<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

14 April: P\u00e9ter Magyar, the newly elected president of Hungary would rejoin the ICC<\/a> after Victor Orban decided to leave the ICC after the arrest warrants against Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

14 April: Italy suspends a defence partnership with Israel after Israel targeted Italian soldiers<\/a> in Lebanon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

14 April: The Green Party of UK demands that diplomatic ties with Israel should be suspended and all weapons deliveries to Israel end<\/a> after Israel launched airstrikes against Lebanon following the ceasefire agreement with Iran. The Green Party was a not very successful party in the UK, but is recently polling pretty strong and becoming a new force to the left of the Labor Party. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

15 April: A petition demanding the complete suspension of the EU-Israel association agreement reached 1 million signatures,<\/a> reaching the threshold triggering an official consideration of the demand by the European parliament and the EU commission. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

15 April: CMAT supported a Free Palestine at Coachella<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

16 April: 60+ Organizations demand the suspension of the EU-Israel association pact for multiple reasons<\/a> among which the ongoing occupation of territory in several countries and the death penalty for non-Israeli are mentioned. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

17 April: Spain not to broadcast the Eurovision Song Contest due to Israels participation<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

18 April: The former ESC participant for Germany suggested that Israel could have paused its participation for its own sake<\/a> but also for the well being of the musicians. Musicians who take part in this years ESC will likely be a target of a boycott for the rest of their careers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

18 April: The close Bernie Sanders ally Analilia Mejia won the special election to the House in New Jersey<\/a>. Mejia pledged to oppose military aid to Israel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

19 April: The Strokes end their Coachella set with a video of breaches of international law by Israel<\/a> and the USA in Gaza and Iran. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

19 April: Gigi Perez also supported a Free Palestine at Coachella<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

19 April: Democratic Party Michigan Senate candidate Haley Stevens was booed in a Democratic convention for supporting Israel<\/a>. She polls well behind in third position behind Ahmed El Sayed and McMorrow who are tied in first place in primary polling. In the same convention Amir Makled who was a lawyer for the pro-Palestine students won the primaries to University of Michigan (U of M) regent against incumbent Jon Acker who vilified the students. Makled campaigned with the U of M divesting from Israel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

20 April: The Polish foreign minister called for accountability for the Israeli soldier who was filmed destroying a statue of Jesus in Lebanon<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

20 April: The US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee demanded swift, severe and public actions against the IDF soldier who destroyed a Jesus statue in Lebanon<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

20 April: 40 Israelis were detained shortly in Moscow. They were questioned and it was suspected that they were detained because of the Israeli war in Iran<\/a>. The Israeli foreign minister mysteriously intervened and they were released on no clear grounds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

21 April: The EU has not suspended the EU-Israel Association agreement because of the opposition of Italy and Germany<\/a>. Spain, Slovenia and Ireland demanded its suspension due to the ongoing human rights violations including the death penalty only for non-Israeli. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

21 April: Peter Magyar, the elected Prime Minister of Hungary said that Hungary would keep adhering to the Rome Statute and therefore the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu would be arrested if he entered Hungary<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

21 April: 1100 signed a petition demanding the exclusion of Israel from the Eurovision Contest.<\/a> Kneecap, Roger Waters, Massive Attack, Peter Gabriel, Brian Eno, Macklemore, etc. are amongst the signatories. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

22 April: After Germany managed to oppose EU sanctions against Israel once again, the SPD criticised the stance of Germany<\/a> to flatly oppose any sanctions against Israel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

23 April: Indonesia condemns to raising of an Israeli flag over the Indonesian hospital in Gaza<\/a>, Palestine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

23 April: Slovenia announced it will show documentaries about Palestine<\/a> instead of the Eurovision Song Contest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

24 April: Sarah Wedl-Wilson, the Culture Minister of Berlin, Germany resigned over alleged mismanagement of funds assigned opposing antisemitism<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

24 April: The Jury for the Biennale at Venice excluded the projects of Russian and Israel from the awards <\/a>as it did not want to award projects from countries who’s head of state was charged by the International Criminal Court. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

27 April: The trial of the pro-Palestinian Ulm five who destroyed parts of an Elbit office began<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

27 April: US congresswoman Delia Ramirez demanded that the congress passes the Block the Bombs act<\/a> after Israel killed 9 journalists in Lebanon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
